About
What…
Hanoi International Fellowship (HIF) is a Christian community for expatriates and their families living in Hanoi. We number about 300 adults and 80 children at our friendly and meaningful worship services on Sunday. Children are also catered for during the service, while during the week small groups meet to build relationships, fellowship and seek more personal growth. We have a wholistic approach to outreach and participation in the larger expatriate community and there are opportunities for newcomers to be involved in these.
Who…
HIF believers come from a diverse range of cultural, professional and faith backgrounds. About half our members come from Asian nations like the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and China. Of the non-Asians, almost one-third are North American, a second majority are European and there are also a number from down under. We also are a very transient church: about one-third of our congregation is new each year! We often have visitors joining us for a few weeks as well but there is a core, stable group of members who have been here for five, 10 or more years. Our members include business people, diplomats, teachers and NGO staff working on development and education projects.
Welcome…
We invite you to make HIF your family away from home during your stay in Vietnam. Please feel free to join in any of our activities and fellowship with us. It is our hope and passion that you not only survive, but thrive in all aspects of life here in Hanoi. If you are making plans to move here, feel free to contact us in advance or connect with us through Facebook or Twitter.
We look forward to having you at HIF.
